Program Coordinator

We look for an enthusiastic coordinator to support community‑engaged learning programs and help students develop leadership and social impact skills.

Responsibilities

Program coordination and logistical support for community‑engaged learning programs (40%): includes planning, event management, risk management, assessment, student recruitment, training and reflection.

Vehicle fleet management (30%): manage DCSI vehicle fleet, driver training, scheduling, vendor collaboration, vehicle maintenance and compliance.

Student advising and outreach (20%): guide students on social sector issues, connect them to volunteer opportunities, coordinate relationships with community agencies and offer referral access.

Stakeholder engagement (10%): build relationships with students, alumni, community partners, staff, and faculty; collaborate on events and outreach to promote the Center.

Professional conduct: demonstrate professionalism, collegiality, and an inclusive, welcoming environment for all.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years of experience (or equivalent education/experience).

1–2 years of work experience within the social sector or education (student experience considered).

Commitment to service, social impact, and the common good.

Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.

Experience working with high‑achieving college‑age students.

Strong oral and written communication; ability to tailor communication to diverse stakeholders.

Proficiency in Word, Excel, internet, database management, etc.

Event and project coordination experience.

Valid U.S. driver’s license.

Physical capability to walk moderate distances and lift 20 lb.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in youth development, mentoring, or nonprofit education programming.

Knowledge of and commitment to the social sector and nonprofits.

Training, teaching or facilitation skills.

Self‑awareness, interpersonal, and collaborative skills; independent and team competencies.

Commitment to inclusivity, diversity, equity, and accessibility.

Additional Information

Driving a vehicle is an essential function; a valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
