Background: It's an American institution, like the editorial answer to a Norman Rockwell painting. At more than 125 years old, Good Housekeeping is one of those titles people recognize even if they've never read an issue. And after all this time it is the nation's largest women's magazine, thanks to a readership of 20 million, a series of New York Times-best-selling spin-off books, international editions and the equally lofty reputation of the Good Housekeeping seal.
Despite its traditional-sounding title, Good Housekeeping's readers are modern, vivacious women who appreciate content that purposely touches on every part of their day-to-day adventures, starting with their home base. "Good Housekeeping represents a world in which home is the launchpad for our lives. It's the place we get ready to face the world, where we entertain our friends, take care of our families, relax, pamper ourselves, and express our creativity and personality," editor-in-chief Jane Francisco explained.
