Man Who Threatened ‘South Park’ Creators Over Mohammed Depiction Pleads Guilty

Twenty-year-old Zachary Adam Chesser plead guilty in federal court this week to charges of communicating threats and soliciting crimes of violence. Chesser, if you remember, was the kid who went on a radical Islamic site and posted threats against South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone over their decision to depict the Islamic profit Mohammed in a bear suit.

“We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them.”

Chesser also pleaded guilty to perhaps the more serious charge of supporting Somali terrorists. He copped a plea with prosecutors that would allow him to serve no less than 20 years in prison.
