Australian Comic Rove McManus Brings Talk Show Act to LA
On Monday, September 19, popular Australian TV personality Rove McManus will debut a new season of his talk show program under the localized banner Rove LA. Per the promo below, the Fox8 gabfest looks to have some pretty funny comedy bits to go along with the chit chat (think Botox):
Episode One, which was taped this week, features Lisa Kudrow, Kathy Griffin and Entourage‘s Jerry Ferrara. And though it probably meant nothing while he was here, McManus is a “three-time Gold Logie Award winner.”
Fans of The Tonight Show and Chelsea Lately are already familiar with McManus. He also voiced the part of a crab in Pixar’s animated smash Finding Nemo. At some point in this new, Americanized version of his long-running Australian show, FishbowlLA imagines that Rove will get to The Grove.
[Note: Changes were made after publication to the fourth paragraph to correct some erroneous information about McManus' credits.]
