Good Day New York co-anchor Dave Price is marking is one-month on the job tomorrow in style. Unfortunately for WNYW news director Dianne Doctor, it’s not about the hair style.

On yesterday’s broadcast, Price shared an email from his boss, wanting him to “fix his hair.”

Rosanna Scotto asked how he responded, to which the former Good Day weatherman didn’t hold back.

“I can’t tell you how I responded. I mean, fix my hair? Would you stop already with the fix my hair? Here’s the deal,” Price said. ”This is the hair I was born with, this is the hair I’ve had on television for the past 15 years. And this woman is obsessed with my hair … Do I walk into her office and tell her to fix her hair? No. I’d be suspended.”

Scotto, clearly trying to shift the conversion to a more amenable topic, said, “OK. Let’s move along, shall we?”

In the first month since Greg Kelly was promoted to nights, morning powerhouse Good Day has lost its dominance. The July sweeps released last week ahead of the Olympics showed WPIX caught WNYW in the pivotal Adults 25 to 54.
