Start spreading the news. The BLT (Blog of Legal Times) is reporting that Above the Law blogger David Lat is coming our way. The former Underneath Their Robes anona-blogger is moving up the Breaking Media food chain, all the way to its Soho offices, to oversee all three of Breaking Media’s blogs, including ATL, Dealbreaker, and Fashionista, as well as, help “develop and launch new ones.” Lat says he will still contribute to ATL but that the tone of the blog will primarily depend on who they hire to take over. As to who will be filling his shoes, Lat tells us that they’re “still working” on finding his replacement, but that the “search is in the final stages” and they should have a new editor sometime next month.

In terms of the new blogs Lat will be working on, he tells FishbowlNY their content is “still under discussion.” However! “Should FishbowlNY readers have ideas, they should feel free to contact us! I can be reached through the contact info on Above the Law.” Hear that readers? Here’s your chance for media fame and fortune! Or something like that (does a semi-active Google alert count?).
