Adventures in Disclosure: GQ, Vanity Fair and the Waverly Inn
GQ‘s October issue features a special section on the West Village. (We’d link, but it’s impossible to find anything on the Web site.) In it, editors highlight “some of the town’s busiest restaurants, coolest shops [and] most exclusive bars” that are located in the neighborhood. Among them, the Waverly Inn about which GQ writes:
There’s the Waverly Inn, the charged celebrity den owned by Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter, which does grant entree to common folk — just don’t expect to sit remotely close to any of the A-, B-, or even C-listers whooping it up in the main dining room.
Nice plug, but maybe GQ should mention that both it and VF are owned by Conde Nast. Just a thought. Or perhaps ethics don’t get in the way of some good old-fashioned truffle mac and cheese.
