ALM Combines Pennsylvania Legal Journals

intelligencer.jpgThe market for legal news in Pennsylvania just got a little smaller, as ALM yesterday announced plans to merge two of the state’s leading sources for print and online legal news.

Starting in March, The Legal Intelligencer and Pennsylvania Law Weekly will be combined into one publication, which will operate under the Legal Intelligencer brand. The daily newspaper will now feature a pullout edition of Pennsylvania Law Weekly in each Tuesday issue, ALM said.

The pubs also plan to relaunch a redesigned Web site the same day that the new publication debuts — March 2.

Said Hal Cohen, the new title’s publisher: “The combination of these two outstanding news organizations is a win for all of our readers, providing both groups of subscribers with access to expanded content, in print and online. Our new Web site will be the most visited online source of legal news and information for the state’s legal community and will continue to grow in the future.”
