American Idol and Glee Take WNYW to Top of Prime Time Ratings
Another week, another American Idol top finish. Fox’s talent competition, once again, held down the top two positions for the week ending March 20.
The Wednesday night two-hour performance show pulled in an estimated 1.8 million viewers and a 9.1 rating, according to the Nielsen Company. The Idol result show was number two for the week with 1.6 million Fox 5 viewers and a 8.1 rating.
WNYW also had a winning performance from Glee, landing at number three (1 million/5.3).
60 Minutes, following NCAA Tournament coverage on WCBS, found a home at number four (1 million/5.0).
MTV’s Jersey Shore had another strong episode, cracking the Top 5 (806,000/4.0).
WABC’s three-hour block of The Bachelor registered sixth and seventh-place showings. The shows averaged 740,000 viewers and a 3.7 rating.
