Anchorwoman Gets The Axe
Guess which show just got cancelled after just one episode? Anchorwoman! Apparently ratings were so miserable that Fox opted to pull the show less than 24 hours after it first aired. In fact, they were so miserable that the show scored a 1.0 rating and tied for last in its timeslot… with a repeat of America’s Next Top Model. Whoops.
Given how Fox has been heavily promoting Anchorwoman, all the paroxysms of rage actual female news anchors have had over the show and the resulting publicity, the 1.0 rating and tieing for last was just a bit underwhelming.
Fans of Anchorwoman will be able to stream the cancelled episodes at fox.com.
