Acclaimed record executive Andre Harrell has joined 98.7 Kiss FM/WRKS as host of Sunday nights “Champagne and Bubbles.”
Longtime listeners of Kiss FM know the show features famous 1980s and 1990s jams, while sprinkling interviews with some of the industry’s biggest names.
Getting the interviews shouldn’t be a problem for Harrell, who founded Uptown Records/Uptown Entertainment Group. He is responsible for discovering Sean “Diddy” Combs, signing Mary J. Blige to her first recording contract, and introducing Robin Thicke to millions of fans.
Harrell hosts the show Sundays from 6 to 9 p.m.
There’s more Kiss FM news.
Tom Joyner, who made his return to the airwaves of New York this morning, did it in style with a visit to Kiss FM. As we reported last month, Joyner’s nationally syndicated show was on WRKS from 2001 to 2003.
As part of the celebration for being welcomed back to Kiss FM, and to get listeners away from winter fatigue, Joyner’s morning show is offering a “Trip-a-Day” promotion on their annual Fantastic Voyage Cruise to the Caribbean.
