AP Launches Top 25 College Football Site “APTop25.com”

The AP has launched a new interactive website about college football it’s calling APTOp25.com. Readers can access the latest news about Division I Football Bowl Division schools as determined by the AP Top 25 Poll and reported on by AP’s stable of college football reporters and editors.

APTop25.com comes courtesy of AP Gateway, a business venture from the Associated Press launched this year which aims to provide multimedia coverage across the web and on other platforms, such as smartphones and e-readers.

Here are some of the features readers can look forward to on APTop25:

- Interactive tools so users can engage with the weekly poll and the coverage, allowing them to reorder the poll to their liking or to create their own version of the Top 25
- The option to tailor both the content and the look of the site to reflect their team loyalties
- The opportunity for fans to sign up for team-specific e-mail newsletters and in-game alerts delivered via SMS.
