Biz Journo Awards: No Portfolio This Year

fast_company_loeb_052307.jpgThe finalists for UCLA’s 50th Loeb Awards were announced earlier this week — the prestigious annual list that gets business journalists from Fast Company to Fortune all hot and bothered. Some things to note about this year’s finalists:

The Wall Street Journal leads with nine nominations (the Times has five); Fast Company leads all business magazines with three; and Chris Anderson‘s Long Tail will get another shot against James Kynge‘s China Shakes the World for best business book. Kynge upset Anderson for the Financial Times honor in the same category earlier this year.

The winners will be announced at a dinner in New York on June 25.
