Bloomberg: Is that a massive mandate in your pocket or are you just glad to see us?

We liked this headline from today’s New York Observer, because we’re maybe a little immature:

But, it is kind of cool that Bloomberg has become such a Mayor of Mayors:

The landslide ratifies what may be the most powerful Mayoralty in New York City history and anoints Mr. Bloomberg as the city’s first true Imperial Mayor. Not since Ed Koch’s victory on both Democratic and Republican lines in 1981 has a Mayor emerged from an election with no coherent opposition.

Guess the smoking vote doesn’t count for much after all.
