Bracing for More Winter Weather, Stations Plan Early Start to Morning Newscasts
With more bad weather forecast to start during the overnight, most of the New York City stations are ready to help viewers get a jump on their morning.
It means early wake up calls for much of the dawn patrol talent.
WCBS/Channel 2 begins CBS 2 News This Morning at 4 a.m.
WNBC/Channel 4 also is gearing up for an additional 30 minutes with Today in New York at 4 a.m.
WABC/Channel 7 is set to extend Eyewitness News This Morning to 4 a.m.
A spokeswoman for WNYW says, at the moment, Good Day Early Call is scheduled for its regular start time of 4:30 a.m., but cautions that it is subject to change.
WPIX/Channel 11 already airs its PIX Morning News at 4 a.m.
