CNN’s New Blog Advertising Approach

As the internet continues to successfully compete with television and print publications as the public’s primary source of access to news, advertising will change. Implicit in this is the fact that blogs are now viewed as a legitimate news source.

This is why we were surprised (and pleased) to see that CNN is now sponsoring posts on blogs. Pictured above is a sponsored content post on popular local news blog Gothamist.

Pretty ingenious, but the question is… what do readers think of it?
