Colbert: ‘I Falsely Construct The News’
Friday’s Charlie Rose broadcast was a New York media two-fer: John Burns [above, with scarf], the the New York Times‘ Baghdad bureau chief via satelite, and Stephen Colbert, not “Stephen Colbert,” as Colbert points out:
Jon [Stewart's character] deconstructs the news. He’s ironic and detached. I falsely construct the news and am ironically attached. I’m not detached at all. I am passionate about what I’m talking about.
