Confirmed: Seth Meyers To Take Tina Fey’s Weekend Update Seat; Lorne Michaels Says Slimmed SNL Cast ‘Great Size’

As FishbowlNY reported in August, Seth Meyers will take Tina Fey‘s vacated seat next to Amy Poehler at Saturday Night Live‘s Weekend Update desk next season.

Lorne Michaels told the Associated Press Meyers’ the slimmed-down cast — 11, down from 16 a season ago — is “a great size because everyone gets enough playing time.”
