Site editor Owen Thomas did predict his own demise — albeit in jest — two days before the news came down. He’ll continue to pen 6-12 posts a day, which will be published on Gawker. (Valleywag.com will continue to exist as well.) Paul Boutin, the site’s senior writer, will be let go.
