Covering Barack: Last Minute Cover Change at Newsweek?
Did Newsweek switch their Barack Obama cover at the last moment? Gawker seems to think so. Apparently someone supplied them with what was to be the original cover for this week’s story (actually it’s an “open letter” to the Senator as to how he might deal with the race issue) along with word that it was editor Jon Meacham‘s wife who suggested the switcheroo at the last minute. Personally we like the cover they went with, especially so because it doesn’t make us feel as though we’re seeing double.
