Demi! Ashton! Is that Really You?

3344411977_9bfe137702_o.jpgOne can imagine that for a certain Hollywood stars 140 characters would be the perfect length to express themselves. And yet, the NYT is reporting that even Twittering may require some assistance in the form of ghost Twitterers (the Shaq is quick to point out he is 100% authetic!).

But someone has to do all that writing, even if each entry is barely a sentence long. In many cases, celebrities and their handlers have turned to outside writers — ghost Twitterers, if you will — who keep fans updated on the latest twists and turns, often in the star’s own voice.

Is this at all surprising? Not really, just extra short press releases, really. But for the creative type, one imagines possibilities abound. Not to mention, how long till till this becomes the plot point in a badly done romantic comedy?
