Diane Sawyer Tops TV Personalities In Gallup Poll; Geraldo, Star, Rosie Rock Bottom

In a Gallup Poll released today, ABC’s Diane Sawyer topped the list of favorable television personalities, with 80 percent of Americans polled calling Sawyer “favorable.” A stat that might alarm NBC: 44 percent of those polled “never heard of” soon-to-be Today Show co-host Meredith Vieira.

Also, three personalities scored net negative ratings: Geraldo Rivera (-23), Star Jones Reynolds (-26), and Rosie O’Donnell (-28).

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, however, did not make the list.
