Dwell has made a few changes to help the magazine reach an East Coast audience. The magazine has promoted Amanda Dameron from Executive Editor to Editor-in-Chief and Alejandro Chavetta from Art Director to Creative Director. Adweek reports that Dwell also hired Anna Alexander as a Photo Editor and Kelsey Keith as a Senior Editor.
Dameron is stationed here because Michela O’Connor Abrams, Dwell Media’s Publisher, thinks it’ll help expand the brand.
“Moving her to New York was deliberate because it was really critical to me that the world know that we take New York very seriously,” O’Connor Abrams told Adweek. “The perception was we were a West Coast-based company, even though we always had editors flying all over the world.”
