Source Interlink Media (SIM) has so much faith in Eric Schwab that they have tapped him to single-handedly fill the roles that were recently vacated by two other execs.  The company announced today that Schwab has been named publisher of Motor Trend and Automobile magazines as well as SVP of integrated sales for SIM.  Interestingly enough Schwab will report to the man who he replaced as publisher — EVP of the Consumer Media Group Ira Gabriel.  Schwab will also work under Brad Gerber, EVP and chief marketing officer for SIM.

Gerber, who recently was promoted from SVP of integrated sales, is confident that Schwab will flourish in his new positions:

Schwab has been employed by SIM for over a decade and most recently worked as VP and associate publisher of the Motor Trend automotive group and VP automotive sales.  Schwab will continue to work in Detroit and manage advertising and integrated marketing for the Motor Trend and Automobile titles.  He will also oversee integrated sales for SIM.
