Ernie Anastos Co-Anchors Annual Greek Parade on WWOR
The 74th annual New York Greek Parade is coming to WWOR/Channel 9 Sunday afternoon. Arguably, the city’s most famous Greek-American personality, WNYW/Channel 5 anchor Ernie Anastos, is co-hosting the live event on the Fox sister station. Anastos will be joined by Fox Business Network anchor Nicole Petallides.
Anastos’ Channel 5 colleague, and fellow Greek-Americans, meteorologist Nick Gregory and Jill Nicolini will provide live reports from along the parade route.
This year’s parade focuses on Greece’s 191st anniversary of independence. New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez – who is Cuban-American but enjoys Greek food — will serve as Grand Marshall.
More than 100,000 participants and spectators are expected to line Fifth Avenue Sunday afternoon. WWOR’s coverage runs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
