FishbowlNY @ Fashion Week: Media Models Ripa, Ray, Zahn Take To Runway

Ray5.jpgIn case this whole media thing doesn’t work out: Rachael Ray [left] prayed, Paula Zahn swanned, and Kelly Ripa clomped to the beat like any good super worth her $10,000 to wake up that day. While we didn’t get a good gander of First Lady Laura Bush, who was front-row and center for pet charity The Heart Truth’s fashion show Friday morning, we did catch some media misses hitting the runway to support heart health for women.

Clothing-wise, Zahn took top honors in glamorous Bill Blass and her elegant carriage as she glided down the runway. Ripa seemed to relish the attention a wee bit too much in sparkly Diane von Furstenberg as over-the-top as her aggressive posing. Ray just seemed to wanna get it over with, looking heavenward in a silent prayer after she concluded her runway turn in unfortunately muu-muu-esque Donna Karan.

Others celeb models who lent their support: tennis legend Billy Jean King, who grooved to her eponymous Michael Jackson tune the whole way down; NASCAR wunderkind Danica Patrick; Entertainment Tonight host Mary Hart; a clearly dazzled Marlee Matlin; and actual supes Alek Wek and Helena Christensen, whose more model-y modeling made it perfectly clear why they’re the ones doing this on a regular basis.
