Charles Leaf, an award-winning reporter with Fox 5/WNYW, was arrested yesterday at Wyckoff, N.J. home on charges of sexually assaulting a minor. 
 
WNYW reports on their website that Leaf has also been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Leaf, 41, was being held at the Bergen County Jail on $250,000 bail.

The AP reports the charges stem from accusations that Leaf sexually abused a 4-year-old girl at his home on Tuesday.

Leaf made headlines of a different kind in August for his interview with Sharif el-Gamal, the developer behind the “Ground Zero Mosque.”

Leaf, who has worked at Fox since 2006, is a married father of two.

A WNYW spokesperson says FOX 5 management is aware of the matter and is reviewing it.
