Fred Norris: I Thought The Stern Show Would Last Three Months

Chris Serico of The Journal News interviewed longtime Howard Stern Show sidekick Fred Norris at a concert featuring his rock trio King Norris in Eastchester. Norris discusses his love of Stevie Wonder, his favorite musical guest, his thoughts on whether or not Stern will reup his contract with Sirius in three years’ time, and how he had no idea the show would become such a force in radio. From The Journal News’ Suburbarazzi blog:

”CS: When you first started with your partnership Howard Stern almost 30 years ago, did you think you’d still be with him on the air at this point?

”Fred Norris: Absolutely not. I thought the most the show was going to go was three months and the general managers and program directors would get tired of it and say, ‘You guys are messed up,’ and kick us out. I don’t even know where I’d be right now, but, you know something, I’m glad to be where I am.”
