Giants/Eagles Sunday Nighter Wins the Week

A rivalry renewed on NBC’s Sunday Night Football, where the Giants fell short at home to the Eagles, 17-10. The game easily was tops for the week in New York, according to Nielsen. An estimated 2 million people watched the game on WNBC/Channel 4, with a 10.4 rating. Gearing up for the pivotal NFC East matchup, the final 30 minutes of NBC’s pre-game show Football Night in America was fifth (1 million/5.6).

The Jets made a rare appearance on WPIX/Channel 11, which carried the NFL Network feed of Thursday night’s game against the Broncos.  The game on Channel 11 soared to a sixth-place tie (1.1 million/5.5).

Not to be outdone, WCBS/Channel 2 also got their football on–landing at number four for the final portion of Sunday’s action (1.1 million/6.0).

The penultimate week of Dancing With The Stars earned high marks–number two for the two-hour performance (1.3 million/6.8) and third place for the results show (1.2 million/6.1).
