Gibson: When You Can’t Blame the Jews, Blame the Booze

There’s something downright creepy about Mel Gibson‘s chat with Diane Sawyer that is set to air tonight on ABC, and which was framed as a kind of career rehab. Sure, actors never stop acting, or somesuch, but the way Gibson contorts his face around and mugs for the camera, it’s like he thinks he can charm Sawyer with the whole madcap What
Women Want routine.

His glib answers and incongruent smiles seem to say he doesn’t think blaming the Jews for all the wars in history is a very big deal. Lots and lots of mea, Mel, precious little culpa.
