Heat over the New York Times‘ decision last week to publish another story on domestic spying over kicked up a few degrees yesterday.

  • The National Review called for a revocation of the Times press credentials. [National Review]
  • President Bush called the disclosure “disgraceful.” [Washington Post]
  • Vice President Dick Cheney: “The New York Times has now made it more difficult for us to prevent attacks in the future.” [Lincoln Journal Star]
  • White House press secretary Tony Snow: “The New York Times and other news organizations ought to think long and hard about whether a public’s right to know in some cases might override somebody’s right to live.” [E&P]
