How To Write Simultaneous Front Page Stories For The Times And Washington Post

A new reporter at the New York Times, Jo Becker, got to live every journalist’s dream: Simultaneous Page One stories in both the Times and Washington Post. Becker, who has been at the Times for less than a month, was one of the writers bylined on Monday’s Rupert Murdoch piece. But in her prior job at the Post, she was assigned to a series of stories on Dick Cheney that was in the works for more than a year. The Post‘s Cheney investigation just made it to print this Monday — and Becker’s name was there.

Yes, Jo Becker wins the award for the best-timed job move in the history of newspapers.
