If You Work for Graydon Carter He Will Buy You Lunch
Apparently Graydon Carter treats his assistants quite well. The New York Post reports that he recently took several former attendants out to lunch for the holidays, and he often advances them within Vanity Fair. Past assistants that Carter has promoted include Punch Hutton and Aimee Bell, both Deputy Editors, David Foxley, an Assistant Editor and Dana Brown, Senior Articles Editor.
Unfortunately we don’t have many details about the luncheon, but we do know that John Brodie, Jon Kelly, Matt Trainor, Patricia Lansing, Claire Howorth and Carter’s current right-hand man, Tony Rotunno, were in attendance.
Where did they eat? We’re thinking Guy & Gallard or maybe even Subway. Word on the street is Carter has been unable to resist the siren song of the $5 footlong ever since the deal began.
