International Herald Tribune Launches Business With Reuters

Starting January 7, Reuters content will appear in the business sections of the International Herald Tribune, which is a part of The New York Times group, entitled Business with Reuters. Reuters content will also appear on the newspaper’s web site. A previous agreement with Bloomberg LC will cease at the end of 2008. From FT:

”Mike Oreskes, IHT executive editor, said the arrangement with Bloomberg was for market news only and under the new agreement Reuters and IHT would ‘cover the whole world of business and economics together.”’

The news comes on the heels of Dow Jones new management team was unveiled at the end of last week. On Thursday’s shareholder meeting, News Corp. completes its $5.6 billion acquisition of Dow Jones ending over a century of ownership by the Bancroft family.
