Lorne Michaels on Tina Fey as Sarah Palin: ‘There Are Discussions’
In a conference call Thursday afternoon detailing Michael Phelps‘ appearance on this weekend’s season premiere of Saturday Night Live, a reporter asked Lorne Michaels about the possibility of Tina Fey returning to play vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
“This Saturday or ever?” Michaels asked before saying, “We had something on Sarah Palin yesterday at read-through but with the Charlie Gibson interview tonight, things will change again… It’s a sort of shifting target.”
But seriously Lorne, the people demand an answer.
When pressed Michaels admitted, “There are discussions. They are ongoing.”
The season of SNL might not suck after all.
