Lottie Oakley and Tim O’Connor have been named Associate Publishers of Vogue, it was announced by Thomas A. Florio, Senior Vice President-Group Publisher of Vogue. The appointments are effective immediately.
Both Ms. Oakley and Mr. O’Connor are veterans of Vogue where they helped produce several of the largest issues in the magazine’s history
Ms. Oakley was the Advertising Director for Vogue’s European and American fashion business since July 2006. Under her direction, Vogue’s business increased by 8.4% and maintains number one market share. From 2004 to 2006, Ms. Oakley was the Executive Director of International Fashion at Vogue. She first came to Vogue in August 1997 as Retail Director where she remained for five years before joining GQ as International Fashion Director in August 2002. Ms. Oakley has spent the last 18 years in fashion in one capacity or another, with her fashion career debut at Saks Fifth Avenue in 1988.
Mr. O’Connor was the Advertising Director for Vogue’s Retail and Non-Endemic business since 2003. During his time at Vogue the magazine’s retail business has grown by 25.6%. Prior to Vogue, Mr. O’Connor spent four years at CosmoGirl as Associate Publisher. He was the Associate Publisher of Glamour for two years prior to that. He began his career in advertising at the agency Foote, Cone & Belding and moved into publishing first with Gruner + Jahr.
