Just like almost every other Time Inc. property, Sports Illustrated has been hit with layoffs that cut away some of its best writers and editors.

So what's a magazine to do in hopes of raising revenue? Direct its subscribers to a Web site where they can purchase cover images. The picture to the left shows a recent issue of SI sent to our house alerting us to the fact that we can "buy SI covers at SICovers.Com."

Prices range from $19.95 for a simple 11"x14" cover image to $129.95 for two covers framed side-by-side. And yes, you can get the Swimsuit issue.
