Howard Stern show sidekick Artie Lange is scheduled to tape an episode of Late Night with David Letterman tonight that will appear on CBS on Friday. Lange, a recovering addict, actually had to take a subutex pill this morning on air in the nerve wracking run up to his Letterman appearance. The scheduling -- and timing -- is clever booking, considering that The Howard Stern Show has 8.3 million Sirius subscribers, and thus far Letterman's ratings, despite the advantage of having writers, have not fared well against Jay Leno.
