John Roberts and John Roberts: Twice as much HOT
TVNewser points us to a CBSNews commentary by Roberts (the one who looks like he's wearing makeup): It was a bit of an 'Alice In Wonderland' moment last night, watching President Bush in the State Dining Room lauding the accomplishments and character of one 'John Roberts.' After my four and a half years covering the Bush White House, I couldn't imagine the name 'John Roberts' and the phrase 'widely admired for his intellect, his sound judgment and his personal decency' being used in the same time zone, let alone the same sentence.Wow, Lewis Carroll gets a ridiculous amount of airplay with the DC folk, no? We've been doing some uffish thinking, and narrowed down our "who does John Roberts-not-the-one-who-used-to-be-a veejay-on-Much-Music look like?" question to one glaring resemblance: Tom Hanks. Check out the little pursed-lips smile, the hint of a cleft in the chin yet the ultimately sensitive face. This guy looks like the most trusted man in film. Democrats, methinks you're screwed. In other news, we swear we never had a crush on JD Roberts back in the 80's when he hosted "The New Music." He looked good in vests though. Related: MuchMusic "Whatever Happened To..?"
