Men’s Fitness‘ Johnson Reveals Tiger’s Guns

Newly-installed Men’s Fitness editor Roy S. Johnson has scored a bit of a coup with this month’s cover subject, Tiger Woods, revealing the golfer’s surprisingly tough fitness regiment — and Andy Roddick-sized guns. But getting inside access to the press-averse Tiger isn’t easy. As Min notes, Johnson, like Tiger, a Stanford alum, has a history with Woods: “In 1993, [Tiger's late father] Earl Woods did his Stanford due-diligence in asking me about the school,” says Johnson. “I recommended it, and a few years later I wrote a ‘the sports world will never be the same’ Fortune cover story on Tiger just as he was turning professional. Proved prophetic, and we have been good friends since.”
