Mitt Romney’s Chief Strategist Joins The Daily Beast

Stuart Stevens, Mitt Romney’s chief strategist, has joined The Daily Beast as a columnist. “Stuart’s eclectic background and prodigious writing talent make him a wonderful addition to our team,” said Tina Brown, in a memo to staffers.

This is the second big political hire for the site this month. Jon Favreau, President Obama’s speechwriter, recently came aboard.

Stuart Stevens, the chief strategist for Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign, is the latest political heavy-hitter to sign on as a columnist at The Daily Beast. We’re thrilled to have Stuart, along with President Obama’s former speechwriter Jon Favreau who joined us earlier this month, as important voices providing commentary on the political scene. Stuart’s eclectic background and prodigious writing talent make him a wonderful addition to our team. He is the author of five books.
