More Changes At Metro: Chairman Out, Ex-Burger King CEO In

metro_092506.jpgMore changes at Metro, this time at the top of Metro International, where chairman Peter Castenfelt has resigned due to “personal reasons” and will be replaced by Dennis Malamatinas, former CEO of Burger King Corp. and director of the boards of Reuters Group and Diegeo.

“With new obligations outside the area of business that unexpectedly have arisen in my life,” Castenfelt said in a statement, “I have however reluctantly decided to step down from the board of Metro.”

The move comes less than a month after Mark Moore, editor-in-chief of Metro US, had been removed from his post, as FishbowlNY first reported. He had just relocated to New York with his wife, Daily News reporter Tina Moore.
