MTV News Seeks Bieber-Loving Vice President

Calling all pop culture junkies! If you have Bieber Fever and consider yourself a Twi-fan, here’s the perfect job for you. MTV News is looking for a vice president of daily news to oversee operations, including reporting, writing, shooting, editing, digital production and broadcast of on-air and online video, articles, blogs and photos.

In this role you’ll be a constant source of project ideas, working to create increasingly efficient systems for the group. You should be in tune with new media, platforms and practices to improve the quality of content you’re producing, and be able to translate and apply Ominture and comScore data to create optimized features.

To be considered, you’ll need at least 10 years of newsroom experience, as well as working knowledge of Web and TV production. In other words, you should be familiar with HTML, CMS, SEO and WordPress. Those with a strong voice and sharp wit will truly excel in this role, but a love for music, film and TV and celebrity is paramount. Interested? Apply here.
