New Forbes Edict: Every Reporter Must Blog

forbes08032010.pngAs part of its ongoing new-media revamp project, Forbes Media has declared that every reporter will now have a blog, according to a report by Business Insider.

The radical pro-blog initiative ties in with a beefed-up WordPress platform for Forbes.com’s blogs that’s expected to launch today. According to Business Insider, most reporters are “starting from scratch” and the digital-media push is at odds with the policy of former Forbes CEO Jim Spanfeller, who quit Forbes about a year ago to start his own company.

The past couple months have been marked by upheaval in the Forbes camp, as the company bought Lewis D’Vorkin‘s True/Slant only to wind down the pro-am blog platform. D’Vorkin, now employed by Forbes has advocated farming out the job of content creation to droves of freelancers.
