New York Times and New Museum Celebrate the Big O

n5281959998_403398gg8803.jpgWho said New York is over! While those of us down here in D.C. were fighting our way through security, cab line-ups, icy sidewalks, and over-cooked pasta at last night’s Inaugural Balls all the media types back in New York were partying it up at the New Museum courtesy of The New York Times.

To judge from pictures of the event (you can see them here and here) everyone was having a delightful time celebrating the new administration. One party goer told us that it was one of the best media parties they’d ever been to, including the (extremely packed) photo book and red, white, blue cupcakes! But for those of you keeping a close eye on the Times financial difficulties, rest-assured we’ve been told attendees (many of whom work at the Times) were given recession appropriate gift bags containing potato chips and and a solicitation to join the New Museum. Parties you can believe in!
