New York Times Snubs U.S. Women’s Soccer Team

The U.S. Olympic women’s soccer team won gold in a dramatic victory over Japan, but that wasn’t enough for the New York Times. The paper’s front page this morning features Usian Bolt — a nice guy, but not an American — not our women’s soccer team.

The Wall Street Journal went with a picture of the triumphant women on A1, hell, even Newsday thought it was a moment to be commemorated. Not the Times though.

Perhaps the Times’ editors just aren’t big soccer fans. That must be it. Or maybe… They hate America. You decide.
