After Shakeup, Gawker Redesigns Flagship, Gizmodo

Following a July 4th weekend shakeup that included the ousting of a pair of editors, Gawker Media this morning unveiled redesigns of Gawker and Gizmodo. The redesign — dubbed by the company's managing editor, Lockhart Steele, as "Gawker Widescreen" — includes bigger fonts, images, a cleaner look and a "top stories" section that has become common among frequently-updated blogs.
