Considering 100 million people around the globe use Facebook, one might think Mark Zuckerberg and company would come up with a way to monetize the site (beyond some vague, three-year plan).

But it appears the best thing the Silicon Valley brains have developed is to request advertising via notes interspersed throughout the Newsfeed. Wow.

It's okay, though, because investors such as Microsoft and Zuck's friends with money haven't shied away from throwing money Facebook's way. Given the fleeing of talent, we wonder how long the goodwill can last.
