Man. David Ng's steamroller personnel changes at the Daily News just keep on going. Now it's longtime TV critic David Bianculli who is being let go. Over at the Post, Keith J. Kelly reports (complete with snarky quote):

Sources said that his contract is not going to be renewed when it expires this fall and that his last column will probably run in late October.

"Everyone is horrified," said a source familiar with the situation. "I assume it is a money thing. They'll probably replace him with some blogger who sits around in his pajamas."

Bianculli, an amazingly prolific writer who routinely cranked out multiple pieces daily, still has his critic gig at NPR's Fresh Air and a book writing career to fall back on. Of course, that's assuming that the News' rivals would pass on the chance to pick up one of New York's great television writers. Which we doubt.
