L'Osservatore Romano is the official newspaper of the Vatican. It's one of the oldest newspapers in Europe and has been publishing continuously since 1861. It also has one of the worst newspaper websites we've ever seen, both in its English-language and Italian versions. Looking at it is like a magical timewarp to 1996. Seriously... the thing is amazing and we don't understand why the Vatican, who can make good websites when they want to, has not updated L'Osservatore's design yet. We say this respectfully because the Vatican has good web designers in their ranks... but we're just sayin'.

Unsurprisingly, they also hated The Golden Compass. But the website is the thing.
